New BTEC for Lettings Agents

The Guild of Letting and Management has recently announced the launch of the UK’s first ever BTEC in Residential Letting and Management. It is aimed at helping managing agents and landlords develop their skills and demonstrate their commitment to professionalism.

The qualification has been developed in asscoiation with the Letting Training Centre, to offer guidance on everything from vetting a tenant and securing a contract, to carrying out an inventory, moving a tenant in and out seamlessly, and keeping the paperwork properly. It also offers an introduction to the complex legislation in the field.

The content has been structured to help enhance and broaden student’s existing knowledge of the letting industry, drawing on wherever possible reference to students own experience and practice. A firm aim being to provide in effect a lifetime qualification to aid future development and improve career prospects.

The course is flexible and can be structured using any combination of open tutorials, in-house tutorials, home study, and distance learning.
