Tate Oh So Modern
On the day that the Super Casino in Manchester was rejected by the House of Lords, approval was granted for the extension to the Tate Modern.
Despite objections from the neighbours of the scheme, citing fears of overlooking and lack of privacy, Southwark Council gave the proposal their blessing. Designed by Herzog & De Meuron, the architects who undertook the adaptation of the power station.
Work should start on the small rear addition in September 2008
