Skills Shortage

The skills shortage in the UK property industry is evident with the lack of Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers. Employers are simply crying out for good quality staff.

One of the reasons identified for the shortage is that people have walked away from these particular roles. In order to entice these wayward souls back, the RICS is launching refresher courses across the UK.

The six week courses will focus on such as things as sustainable development and recent advances in technology.

This proposal comes at the same time as the RICS continues to encourage the Home Office to include Quantity Surveying on the skills shortage list
