HSBC HQ Most Expensive Workplace In UK


HSBC's global headquarters in London has become the most expensive workplace in Britain after the banking giant sealed a record-breaking property deal worth £1.09 billion pounds.

HSBC announced yesterday that it will sell the 45-storey skyscraper, towering over Canary Wharf, to the Spanish property group Metrovacesa, but the new owners which will allow HSBC to remain in the building on a 998-year lease.

The office block, is some 210 metres high and contains 102,000 square metres of office space, an dhas sold for more than double its original cost.
