Stratford Redevelopment Plans Approved
The proposed redevelopment of the Stratford area came a step closer to reality yesterday when the outline plans were recommended for approval.
The Olympic Development Authority issued the plans to an independent Planning Decisions Team in February, who reviewed the massive scheme and listened to the various objections.
Chairman of the Planning Committee, Lorraine Baldry, said: ‘The Committee has studied the applications and all the feedback and we have come to the conclusion that the applications should be approved. We are confident that the proposals have been through an extensive and thorough consultation process.
Next in line for a review of the plans will be the Government Office for London (GOL) and then onto the Greater London Authority (GLA) before permission for the applications is granted.
Once this agreement has been granted then more detailed planning applications will have to be submitted for approval.
More Red Tape....
