Boreout

Ever come home from work feeling a irritable? Could it be because you are not challenged at your work, and come home feeling bored and under utilised. Well new research has revealed that people who pretend to be busy can find this leading to a stressful existence.

Studies reveal that an average worker wastes 2 hours every 8 hour day doing nothing. The main reason for this is due to a lack of challenging work.

The article in this months Absolute Brighton has been written by Carol Barnes, the ex-newsreader is an interesting view on today's work force. She claims that staff use tricks to appear busy to avoid getting even more boring work. Fake stomach bugs, pretending to smoke or going to another department for help...

This all sounds very familiar, now I must go down to the stationery cupboard and get a paper clip...
