Boris Relaxed on Quota

'50% of bugger all is still bugger all'

These are not the words of Steve McClaren, but the astute words of the man seeking Londoners vote for the next Mayor of London.

Boris Johnson was referring to the existing quota for affordable housing imposed by the current Mayor, Ken Livingstone.

Mr Johnson, sopeaking at a launch of the NHBC, believes that in some boroughs and in some circumstances, this quota is stifling development.

Meanwhile Mr Johnson is also concerned at the number of high rise residential developments being plans, claiming that nothing seems to have been learnt over the last 50 years.

All this however means nothing until the 1st May when the votes are cast..
