PFI Shock

Startling news has arrived at our offices of the impact delays to PFI projects has on the taxpayers.

£67m has been simply wasted since 2004 according to the latest reports from the Public Accounts Committee.

On average a project is now taking 34 months to tender. That is just absolutely staggering...

Whilst this may seem a lot of money to some, it is the same as the deficit run up by David O'Learly whilst at Leeds. You could have pipped BT at the post and bought Plusnet. Or it could buy you the Edge at the Eden Project.

Instead of these possibilities, every taxpayer might as well have thrown a pound down the back of the sofa..
