Company Car Rules

Be aware that in April next year, new government legislation comes into force which effects all companies who have employees driving for them.

There are no new duties or obligations under the Corporate Manslaughter Act, but it does require companies and organisations to comply with existing health and safety law or be exposed to liability to prosecution under the new offence of corporate manslaughter.

Employers must make sure that all equipment used in the course of working is fit for use, including the company beamer or digger.

Staff using vehicles must ensure that they are correctly taxed, service and have a full MOT. Furthermore employers should not demand that workers drive too much or when tired..
Be warned
