Small Investors are looking at major losses in the near future according to a report in the Times today.

Following the news from New Star Asset Management, who are looking to slash the value of their property portfolio by £150m, an 18% drop since July, investors will be exposed by further drop on the capital value of their investments.

It was not long ago that every financial institution was heralding the benefits of investing in commercial property. A great diversification away from stocks and shares. In the last 18 months up to July this year over £5bn of small investors money was sunk into commercial property.
