A BBC report has revealed that over 2,400 homes leased by the MOD have remained empty for over 12 months.

Meanwhile a four bedroom house in Bushey, Hertfordshire has remained empty for nearly 11 years.

In 1996 the army elected to sell of its estate and rent the properties back again from Annington Homes Ltd.

Clearly the army has a massive undertaking in housing their personnel who are constantly on the move, but 12,000 voids worldwide is deemed excessive.
