All Building Works to Stop in China

In a remarkable turn of events, the Chinese Authorities are reported to have decided to stop all building works during the Olympic Games this year.

On or before the 2oth July this year, all building works in the city of Beijing will stop as part of the measures outlined today to reduce the amount pollution within the city.

Whilst this really is great news for competitors and indeed the residents, imagine what the impact will be on those financing the projects?

Now imagine if you tried to do that in 2012 in London. Ken comes along, or even possibly Boris, and tells every building site in London that they must close for a month during the summer... Can you even begin to imagine... A whole new Olympic event could be created!
