Unrest at the RIBA
Amid concerns over the influence various political affiliations were having within the RIBA, an agenda was set out to ensure that all members revealed their persuasions, political or otherwise.
Problems first arose within the RIBA when a member of the BNP, Peter Phillips sought the presidency in 2006.
Since then it has been a hot topic within the RIBA. It is claimed in reports that there was a large amount of influence being exerted by secret bodies, such as the Freemasons.
In a recent U turn, following a bit of pressure perhaps, the RIBA will no longer be requesting members to state any other associations or affiliations.
Walking around with one trouser leg up to your knee is being considered as an option...
