Is Money the Best Motivator
New Research revealed today by the BBC suggests that employees are interested in more than a good salary.
'A strong interest in the job and a good work-life balance are more important to workers than the size of their pay packet, a survey suggests.
In a survey of 1,000 people, 57% said they had remained with their present employer because they had a strong interest in what they did.
Some 44% told City and Guilds they had stayed in a job for the salary.
Beauty therapists and hairdressers were the happiest workers, whilst builders and bankers were the least satisfied.'
I reckon if you double the salary of the most unhappy, it may just change their mind...
