Interserve Wins £300 million PFI Contract

Good news for Interserve Plc a provider of construction and maintenance services, as a consortium by the company has been named preferred bidder by the Western Health and Social Care Trust for the PFI contract to create and maintain a new acute hospital at Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. Construction of the hospital is planned to be complete in 2012, while the financial close of the contract is expected in the first half of 2009.

The 70,000 sqm, 315-bed hospital will worth over£ 300 million in construction and facilities management services. It will be located on a 57-acre greenfield site at Wolf Lough to the north of Enniskillen.

The joint venture also includes FCC Construction SA, P Elliott & Co and Allied Irish Bank.
