Rok Announces £164 Million Pounds Worth Of Contracts
In an statement today Rok has revealed it has won eight major framework agreements worth £164m in revenue.
The Guinness Trust, one of the largest housing associations in England, has signed a national framework agreement with Rok to build new homes under a variety of schemes over the next four years.
Among the other framework agreements is a contract with the Maritime and Coastguard Agency for repair and maintenance work on 150 properties in the UK, and one with Leisure Connection which has contracted Rok to carry out planned maintenance, alterations and emergency repairs in the fitness clubs, leisure centres, swimming pools, theatres and arts centres it manages.
The remaining five agreements are with regional and local housing associations and city councils covering the building of new homes for rent, repairing occupied properties and preparing empty homes for new tenants. For two of these the work involves alterations to properties to comply with the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act.
Commenting on the contract wins, Rok's chief executive, Garvis Snook, said: "To be winning this number of new framework agreements so early on in the year is encouraging. I believe it shows that using our own people to deliver local services on a national scale is a compelling proposition for many customers and stands us in good stead for the months ahead."
