Benfield Construction goes into liquidation

A Midlands building firm , Benfield Construction has gone into liquidation, resulting in more than 20 construction jobs being lost.

Benfield Group chairman Clive Benfield said despite there being five parties interested in buying the firm, no deal could be reached.He said: "As everyone knows, construction, and contracting in particular, has been very hard hit by the recession and we are no exception to those market conditions."
