Mulalley win £6.1 million contract with One Housing Group

Mulalley are set to construct 62 new homes on a brownfield site in Northwold Road, Hackney, in partnership with One Housing Group.
The site, which previously housed an old factory and warehouse as well as garages, will be cleared to make way for this new development.
The scheme will consist of 4 separate blocks, rising from 2 to 4 storeys and will be constructed using a mixture of reinforced concrete frame and traditional build methods.
One block will be dedicated to providing Housing Care and Support (HCS) by building self-contained apartments with ancillary accommodation for people with mental health needs.
The scheme will also include shared ownership and affordable rent properties.
Properties will be served with photovoltaic panels to achieve 10% renewable energy and will have 'green roofs', SUDS (Sustainable Drainage System) and rainwater harvesting, which will achieve Code for Sustainable Homes level 3.
Work is due to start at the end of July 2010. Mulalley Director John Moore said: 'We are delighted to be extending our working relationship with One Housing Group. This is the third project we are working on with them to provide much needed homes in the community.'
