Denham appointed communities secretary in cabinet reshuffle

John Denham has been appointed communities secretary to replace Hazel Blears, who resigned down from the Cabinet post on Wednesday.As secretary of state for communities and local government, Denham will be responsible primarily for the government’s regeneration plans.
