Balfour Kilpatrick and Haden Young combine

Balfour Beatty, the Construction and engineering firm , has formed a new operating company Balfour Beatty Engineering Services to focus on mechanical and electrical engineering. It will be formed by the merger of two of the company's acquisitions, Balfour Kilpatrick and Haden Young, which have previously operated as separate specialist businesses.

The new firm will have revenue of £600million and will offer national and regional coverage. Balfour Beatty Engineering Services managing director, John Moore, said:“Balfour Beatty Engineering Services is the largest organisation of its type in the UK, offering a range of services and capabilities unique in the mechanical and electrical market. ..It combines the strong positions already occupied by Balfour Kilpatrick and Haden Young in the regional M&E, healthcare and education, power systems and power project markets and provides one point of contact for customers."
