Lovell wins £35m North Yorkshire housing contract

Morgan Sindall's affordable housing division Lovell and Maple Grove Developments have won a contract to develop homes and shops in a £35million in Skipton, North Yorkshire.

Lovell / Maple Grove Developments will now work on a detailed design with the Craven District Council which will involve the construction of 220 new homes, 88 for affordable rent and low-cost home ownership and 132 homes for open market sale, as well as new retail outlets.

The project is currently in its design phase, with construction expected to start in Spring 2010 and to be complete by 2015.Lovell regional director Noel Adams adds: “We are delighted to have been chosen, with Maple Grove, as the Council’s preferred partner for this scheme which is set to provide a major boost for Skipton through the delivery of high-quality new homes and shops and the creation of local jobs. We look forward to progressing this exciting opportunity with the Council over the coming months.”
