Building Control Alliance

No its not part of the mother ship from Return of the Jedi - the Building Control Alliance is the coming together of four professional bodies in an attempt to shape the future of Building Control.

The famous four are:
Royal Institution for Chartered Surveyors
Association of Building Engineers
Association of Consultant Approved Inspectors
Local Authority Building Control

The idea of a streamlined system which tackles issues such as climate change both quickly and sensibly has to be a good thing. However, having read through the statements by the representatives of each of the bodies it is difficult to establish what they are going to do.
