Britains Most Expensive Loo

A public toilet could become the most expensive in Britain after a borough council revealed it had agreed to sell it for £120,000.

Restormel Borough Council is selling the toilet block in East Street, Newquay, to London-based property developer Aedifico. The block, in the middle of tourist hotspot Newquay, will be demolished to make way for shops and accommodation. The previous top price for a toilet was £90,000.

A council official said the price was reasonable and the money would be used to build new toilets.

Aedifico said it had never bought a public toilet before and planned to replace it with a "landmark building".
