Eureka
Reports in the Telegraph reveal that scientists have discovered why Archimedes was in a bath before his Eureka moment.
It was as he was sat in the bath pondering whether the crown he had just been given was solid gold or had added silver. He realised that by placing the crown in the water he could determine it's volume. This was followed by him charging naked down the street....
What relevance does this have on us you may ask? Well scientists at Goldsmiths College London consider that the relaxing of the brain and not being too focused is the key to creativity. When you are relaxed the part of your brain managing your creativity becomes more free flowing.
So when you get caught daydreaming, let it be known you are stimulating your higher alpha brain rhythms (relaxing your brain) before your eureka moment...
