Scambusters..

A Government initiative set up to catch out those rogue builders in select parts of the country will be extended to cover the whole of the UK as part of £7.5m proposal, according to reports in the Building.

The scheme, which has been in place since September 2006 has helped many an old age pensioner and the unsuspecting home owner into being duped by the classic sting of contractors.

The most common problem is when contractors turn up unannounced and offer a service for quoted price. When the work is complete they will then sting you for extras.

Its the kind of initiative that should not only assist the unsuspecting homeowner but also many a project manager and QS..
