Addecco May Go For Hostile Takeover Of Michael Page

Adecco has announced that it has not ruled out a hostile bid for Michael Page and “is keeping all its options open”.

In a statement Adecco said it “ notes that a recent press comment has suggested that Adecco is ruling out an unrecommended offer for Michael Page International Plc. At the request of the UK Takeover Panel, Adecco is today clarifying its position. While it is focused on negotiating a recommended offer for Michael Page, Adecco is keeping all its options open at this stage.”

Adecco’s statement came after the UK’s takeover panel asked Adecco to clarify whether it intended to make a friendly or hostile bid for Michael Page.
