Ishbel Macpherson joins the May Gurney Board

Ishbel Macpherson has joined the May Gurney Board as a non-executive director with immediate effect (20/4/10).

Ishbel, aged 49, was an investment banker for more than 20 years, specialising in UK mid-market corporate finance. Her most recent role was as Head of UK Emerging Companies Corporate Finance at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein.

She has extensive public company experience and currently holds non-executive directorships at GAME Group plc, Hydrogen Group plc, Speedy Hire plc and Dignity plc. Ishbel holds 5,000 shares in May Gurney.

David Sterry OBE, May Gurney chairman, said: "Ishbel's extensive non-executive experience and corporate finance background mean that she is ideally placed to make a valuable contribution to the Board and to chair our Audit Committee. We very much look forward to her input to May Gurney as our company continues to grow.”

David Galloway, who was appointed a non-executive director of May Gurney in 2002 and chairs the Audit Committee, has decided to retire from the Board and will stand down at the Company's AGM in July (at which time Ishbel will become the Audit Committee chair).
